FAQ
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for metal coil and sheet?
For coil, the minimum is based on the weight needed for your cutting plan. For sheet, it depends on the sizes we have in stock. Please call or email us.
About how long is the lead time?
All orders are made to custom specifications. Lead time depends on stock status, cut size, and quantity.
Can you provide samples?
For a small amount, you can buy a whole sheet from the sheet sizes we have in stock. For coil, the amount is based on the weight needed for your cutting plan.
Can you make sizes that are not on the specification list?
It depends on the material and specification. Please contact Sursun Metals and tell us the material, thickness, width, and quantity.
Can I choose the mill that makes the material?
We mainly supply from the stock we carry. If you want a specific mill, please tell us in advance.
Can you export overseas?
Yes. Sursun Metals is a registered importer and exporter (qualified to import and export). Please ask our staff about shipping methods, packaging, and trade terms.
Why are metal quotes valid for such a short time?
A quote has a limited validity period to keep things fair for both Sursun Metals and our customers when orders are filled. Metal prices follow global markets and can swing sharply after major world events. If prices change a lot, we need to quote again. For example, in the 2022 nickel price spike on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the nickel price jumped from about $30,000 per metric ton in just two days. At one point during trading it went above $100,000 per metric ton.
How can I follow metal price changes and trends?
For basic industrial metals (such as copper, aluminum, and nickel), you can check futures prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME): https://www.lme.com/. Note: LME prices are for raw material futures. They are not Sursun Metals' prices for finished metal products.
What are your payment terms? How can I pay?
We mainly sell metal raw materials on cash terms. This means payment is made at the time of the transaction. We accept cash, bank transfer, and checks.
How are coils packed? Can you put them on pallets?
Coils are secured with strapping. Woven strapping is also available. When coils go on a pallet, they can be placed upright (eye horizontal, coil standing on its edge) or lying flat (eye vertical, coil laid on its side). Pallets used for export are heat-treated. If you ask us to process your material, you generally need to provide your own packing materials, including pallets.
How should I choose a packing type?
We suggest you think about how your site will unload the material (by hand, pallet jack, forklift, overhead crane, weight limits, and so on) and how you will use it. If you have special requirements, please tell us before you place your order.
