Stainless Steel不鏽鋼

Stainless steel resists corrosion well, is easy to form, lasts a long time, and looks good. It is widely used in consumer electronics, machinery, tableware, construction, kitchenware, vehicles, aerospace, and medical fields, and it is an essential metal in daily life.

Stainless steel
SummarySursun Metals supplies cold-rolled stainless steel coil and sheet in grades such as 301, 304, 316, 410, 420J2, and 430. For high hardness and springs, choose 301. For general corrosion resistance choose 304. For higher corrosion resistance choose 316 (contains molybdenum, used in medical applications). For an economical choice choose 430. For knives choose 410 or 420J2.

How to Read Soft Temper, Hard Temper, and Surface Finish

Temper and surface symbols
SymbolDescription
Soft temperCondition after cold rolling and heat treatment (solution treatment or annealing). The hardness is lower.
Hard temper (1/2H, 3/4H, H, EH, SEH)Cold-rolled to a controlled reduction (temper rolled) to reach a set hardness. Hardness rises step by step and is shown in HV.
2BCold-rolled, heat-treated, pickled, then given a light cold roll for a moderately bright surface. A common surface for soft temper.
BAA bright surface made by bright annealing after cold rolling.
